Directions to the lab:
We are located in the Koch Biology Building (aka Building 68) on the MIT campus at the
corner of Ames St. and Main St., about one block from the Kendall Square T stop
(subway). The easiest way to get here is to take the T (Red Line) to the Kendall Square
stop or take a cab and ask the driver to drop you at Kendall Square or Legal Sea Foods.
If driving, parking is difficult to find. From the south, take I-93 North to Boston and
take the exit marked 'Cambridge'. After exiting, look for the LongFellow Bridge and
cross it into Cambridge. When you cross over you will be on Main St. Go a block or two
on Main St., make a left onto Ames St. and look for a parking spot at one of the meters
on either side of Ames. Bring quarters. Time limit is 2 hours. For longer visits, park
in the pay lot at Tech Square: continue on Main St. past Ames St. After crossing the
train tracks, make your first right and the parking lot will be on your left.
Enter Bldg 68 through the set of doors at the Main Street end of the building
(marked by arrow) and make your way inside to the stairway. Take the stairs to the
second floor. As you reach the second floor, my office (68-271) will be immediately in
front of you. To reach the lab, turn right and walk down the corridor a few feet - the
doors will be on your left. The wet labs are in 68-259 and 68-265 and the dry lab is 68-253. The lab
phones are (617) 253-7039 (dry lab) and (617) 253-6726 (wet lab), and my office phone
is (617) 258-5997. My assistant is Sarah Mann, (617) 253-9395. We
are not hard to find, but call if you get lost.
